Overview

 Diffusion analysis is used to visualize local water diffusion properties.  Fiber Tracking  utilizes the directional dependency of the diffusion to display the white matter structure in the brain or  the central nervous system in general.

DTI is being widely used in clinical and research practice. However, in the way it is currently processed it is usually time-consuming for the user, and far from effortless to reconstruct each fiber bundle. Research in scientific literature is often required to define the ROIs that will be utilized in fiber tracking and the methodologies for it can be outdated.
