Overview
After two successful seasons of Advantis' webinars, all past sessions are integrated in this course, along with monthly updated new content in the topics of clinical and research applications of advanced brain MR imaging.
Advanced MRI processing has started to become a key aspect of diagnostic and research protocols. This has surfaced various challenges for clinicians and researchers in their everyday practice. In our course, you will explore new ways to tackle these challenges and adopt new skills in the fields of DTI, DSC Perfusion and fMRI applied on a range of brain pathologies including neuro-oncology, neurodegeneration and stroke.
Together with our expert speakers, we will have the chance to discuss perspectives on case studies and process them real-time!

Kyriaki Neophytou
ph.d. cANDIDATE IN cognitive science
Kyriaki Neophytou is a Ph.D. candidate in the Cognitive Science Department at the Johns Hopkins University. Her work focuses on the language abilities of people with aphasia and the goal is to get an insight as to how cognitive abilities can be affected in such cases, what this can tell us about the neural substrates that support cognition, and how we can use this information to optimize diagnosis and treatment. In her work she is using both behavioral and neuroimaging data, such as Diffusion Tensor Imaging (DTI).
She holds an MA in Research in Linguistics from Utrecht University, and has research training from the Neuroscience of Language Lab at the New York University of Abu Dhabi, specializing in Magneto-encephalography (MEG). She has co-authored several peer-reviewed papers and presented her work at various conferences internationally. She has been awarded the Onassis Foundation Scholarship for Hellenes and has won several other awards and fellowships throughout the years.
